I thought I'd step out of my comfort zone and take a crack at one of these. I dealt with a lot of these particular records when doing my family history. Share batch #258798349 What is the father's last name? What is that first letter?? I see it later on a different record but I can't figure out from that one either. Down in Nov. the 3rd child. I think it's the same name as well??? He was either a traveling salesman or maybe a relative. Hard to have 2 children a month apart in the same year.

That record is too old for me. If no one else answers you might have better luck still on the FSI forums with the UK group that's active on there. Not sure if they've come over here or not.

When I work on these I tend to send back the ones before 1700s.

I ran one of my families linage clear back to the early 1600's. (Lancashire Co) Most were not as tough as this one though. The script on this one is a real challenge. I can see why these get saved for intermediate indexers. Hate to see what the experienced people get.

I am on the page that first loads I can't seem to find another record but I'll try again. The name I see is centered at the top of the page.
George son of William ?oolo; first letter may be S or L.
Is this the one?

That's the one. I ran through the entire pages for the view and I can't find the letter on anything I can identify. I have been over to the National archive site looking for a possible answer. Didn't find one. I also tried the English handwriting guide, it was in pdf format so I broke it down into picture of it. See attachments. I don't see anything like it. I hate entering the first letter of a name as ? It does no good in a search if you don't have the sur name. Well they came out backwards.

Is it the first record? George son of William Foole, that letter which looks like ff is a capital F. The one in November is Feelden.
